Below are the current proposals for holding Meetings of Leighton Linslade and district Sports Council.
OVERVIEW
Move toward separating award applications from general meetings to encourage greater focus on sport rather than club funding.
To open LLSC to all types of sporting establishments not just ‘not for profit’ organisations making the meeting relevant to all.
Shorten time between agreement of awards and their presentation.
GENERAL MEETINGS
(3 meeting mandatory –  up to to 2.5 hours long)
LLSC will meet to:
  • Discuss items relevant to sport in the Leighton Linslade area
  • Hear from people of agencies wanting to address the LLSC
  • Hear from people or agencies LLSC would like to hear from
GRANT MEETINGS 
(optional – up to 1.5 hours long)
 
LLSC will meet to discuss:
Applications for grants from ‘not for profit’ LLSC members
(Ideally requests will be submitted in advance and considered prior to the meeting)
GRANT PRESENTATIONS
 (optional unless collecting an award – 30 mins)
 
LLSC officials, awardees and any other interested parties to attend a short presentation by the Mayor at the White House.
AGM
Annual General Meeting – an opportunity to hold officials to account, summarise the past year, elect new officials and make any significant changes to the constitution.
