Be Active are launching a Club Welfare Officer Network Group for Leighton Linslade clubs next month, with the first meeting taking place on Thursday 16th July. The meeting has kindly hosted by Leighton United Football Club between 19:30 and 21:00.
Safeguarding can sometimes feel like a lonely role within your club. This forum has been set up by me and Annelise from Be Active to create a safe and supportive space for Club Welfare Officers to meet and share questions, concerns, and ideas around safeguarding in their environment.
You may be new to the role and looking for a support network, or keen to develop ideas on how to ensure your club is as inclusive as possible for current and future members. Alternatively, you may have been in the role for a while and feel able to share valuable insight with others across different clubs.
This forum is designed to be led by the group. Alongside a few updates and useful resources, a large portion of the session will be shaped by attendees, addressing questions as they arise and exploring a few scenarios together. Our long-term aim is for this to become a regular meeting (4-6 times a year) open to Club Welfare Officers across the town.
If you would like to attend, please complete the form in the link below. We look forward to seeing you there.
