THREE TIE FOR GOLF TROPHY….

For the second week running, three golfers have tied for top spot in a competition at Leighton Buzzard’s Plantation Road club.

Just days after Peter Raza carded a result with better scores on the last nine holes to beat club colleagues  Julian Heffron and Shane Bentley, Barry Witherdon won Leighton’s coveted Henly Cup with a score of +6, beating David Miles and the in-form Keith Brazier with the same “countback” system determining the top of the table placings.

In a field of 120, Simon Light and Colin Jeffrey both finished on +5, a hole better than Jon Dunning, Ian Woodman, Lee Harnett, Nicholas King, Raymond Stewart, Peter Burgoyne and Andrew Jenkins.

* Jane Parry won Leighton Ladies nine-hole competition with 22 points, three clear of Madeline Jones, with Pauline Bell, Zan Nichol and Barbara Healy all finishing with 17 points.
